The problem I am seeing is when my computer requests information from the
server. When I access a network drive, it will take 10-15 seconds to list
the contents. It used to be instant.
Otherwise, the workstation is still working very fast.
This must be a setting or something that because corrupted. I am recreating
the workstation index to see if that solves the problem. I don't think it
will because after I access the drive and get the information. I can then
close the window and ask for the same information, and it behaves as if it
never saw that information before and takes the same 10-15 seconds to open
the folder.
Also, when I open a network folder, the computer takes 5-10 seconds to
think, then slower reads the contents of the folder. You can watch the
green bar grow as it reads the data.
