Slow start solution

      10-24-2007
Clean install on oldish computer. All programmes working well except a very
slow boot probably caused by a driver. How do I detect which driver is
causing this?

Do you have any external USB devices other than your Printer and Input
devices connected? If so, try detaching then boot the system to system to
see if it resolves the problem.

Yes, I do. Disconnect all - then replace one at a time?

Give us some additional information such as processor speed and amount
memory installed? Could be that your system is just not powerful enough for
Windows Vista. Could you also give us an idea of the boot time, BIOS to
Welcome screen?
