Slow System since XP-SP2

Hi Everyone:

I'm sure I'm not the first person to report this, but since upgrading to
Service Pack 2, I've noticed a significant slow-down in my system (media
center pc 873n). It seems to apply to all applications and websites. Before I
hastily un-install it, I was curious if anyone knew anything of this specific
issue. I haven't been able to find anything so far in the posts.

I agree. In my opinion it is slower because it consumes
more RAM given the many xtra services that SP2 uses or
activates after installation.
Users should carefully review which services and processes
are really needed. Or install more RAM.
