Hi,
Well, first click the Tools menu (Alt-T if the menu is hidden), then Options, then Security
category, and make sure 'This is a shared computer so don't store my address book, display
picture, or personal message on it isn't selected.
If it keeps coming back than more than likely your emoticon store has been damaged in some
way (which actually isn't rare). As such, you'll need to empty your emoticon store and
simply start again.
Assuming you want to keep which ones you have now, use this tool to back them up:
http://www.baisoft.it/msnbackup_english.asp
Obviously don't back up the k one.
Then, shut down Messenger by right-clicking on its icon in the notification area and choosing
Exit. Click Start, then Run, type
"%appdata%\microsoft\msn messenger" and click OK. Then find the folder associated to your
account (if you need to find the ID, see:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/msngrid.aspx). Then right-click the CustomEmoticons folder
and choose Delete. Confirm the operation, then go back into Messenger and sign in so it can
re-create the default ones. Then if you opted to backup your emoticons, use the backup tool
to reimport them back.
