Small problem with Task Manager

Running Vista Business with SP1.
=============
When I click on the "Show processes from all users" button from the
Processes tab, nothing happens. I expect to see a window asking for
elevation credentials. However ... nothing. Nor is there anything (that I
could find) in the Event Viewer logs.

Would someone please point me to a resource to solve this?

Hello Mike,

You would only see it ask you for this if you where doing this from
another user account (ex: Standard) that was not the default
administrator account.

Have you tried System Restore to get back to before your troubles began?

If the issue still persists, please let me know the following answers.
Thank you for your cooperation.

1.When did the issue occur?
2.Did you experience this issue before? If no, did you make any changes or
install any software on the computer recently?
3.Does the "Show processes from all users" button go gray out after
clicking it?
4.Did you disabled UAC? If so, please enable it to test the issue. If not,
please disable UAC to test the problem.
5.Please click Start, type taskmgr.exe, right click on the file and choose
"Run as administrator". Does task manager show processes from all users?
6.Please let me know if the user is a member of the local administrator's
group.

However, according to our customer's feedback, a tweak software could cause
the problem. If you are in this scenario, turning off Aero by switching to
Windows Vista Basic theme and reactivate Aero could resolve the problem.

Mike,

Since you are a part of a domain instead, then there is probably a
group policy setting set preventing access to this. You should also
check with the domain administrator to verify this and see if they are
willing to allow you access or not.

I ran the Group Policy Results Wizard on myself and my PC - but can't find
anything about Task Manager in the results.
