So Called Experts?

I posted that VistaU was ROCK SOLID on my machine. Even though I am an
expert I do not usually go about bragging about it. But for the record I
would tend to say that MOST, not all, but most people that are having
problems with Vista probably have the basic knowledge of hardware but not
much more.

I run old apps, new apps and have never had even one problem that couldn't
be solved with the proper problem solving skills. My machine is homebuilt as
are all 7 of my other machines. The one exception is my Dell laptop.

I have an Abit Fatal1ty AA8XE mobo
2 - Twin2X1024-6400C4, XMS2 - Xtreme Performance DDR2 Memory - Total 2 gigs
1 - Intel Pentium® 4 550 Processor 3.4GHz,
1 - Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme CPU Heatsink
1 - Gigabyte GeForce 7300GT 256MB Video Card
2 - Seagate ST3120827AS Barracuda 7200.7 SATA NCQ 120GB hard drives
configured using RAID1 (SATA ONLY)
1 - Cooler Master Real Power Pro (RS-850-EMBA-80Plus) 850 Watt Power Supply-
nVIDIA SLI Certified
1 - Cooler Master Stacker 830 RC-830-SSN2-GP Silver Aluminum ATX Full Tower
Computer Case
4 - Scythe S-FLEX SFF21E 120mm Case Fans at 1200rpm
1 - Plextor 16X Dual Layer DVD+/-RW SATA Drive, Model PX-716SA/SW (SATA
ONLY)
1 - Plextor Premium 52/32/52 CD-RW Drive

As anyone can see this system is by no means new or really the best of
anything. But it is ROCK SOLID with VistaU. It has been my experience that
99% of people having problems with Vista is because of HARDWARE not the
OS!!!

If Vista works for me as well as MANY MANY others then the OS is solid.
Granted there have been driver issues but DRIVERS make hardware work, if you
do not have Vista compatible hardware or the right drivers to make that
hardware work, then you WILL have problems. The other 1% of problems can be
traced to HEAT issues or power supply issues.

The flame wars going on in this NG is way out of control. Clearly there are
two sides to the issue of weather or not Vista is a good OS. The way I see
it is that IF Visa was so bad then it wouldn't work for the MAJORITY of
people, but that is clearly not the case. Most expert users have very few
issues with Vista on the other hand most users that CLAIM to be experts but
are not, are the ones that hate Vista.

I think he is running Ubuntu!

He doesn't have a clue. He says that 99% of the people are probably having
hardware problems. I think when his medication wears off, he might just
come to his senses.

Damn, does this VistaTerminalator get everywhere

Draino, I agree wholeheardedly with your assesment. It's unfortunat
that trolls like VistaTerminalator don't seem to realize that if yo
want Vista to run properly, then you need to use Vista-certified driver
for your hardware

But his insessent raving about Vista's flaws allows me to draw only on
conclusion. VistaTerminaltor is not running Vista. He has neve
installed Vista. He's probably only just seen screenshots and is doin
nothing more than relaying secondhand information he overheard at th
watercooler in the office

I just wish the fool will shut the hell up and stop clogging this foru
with insessant chatter that makes it nigh on impossible for people wit
real problems to find real solutions

Yet you have a need to brag now. What in your mind makes you an
expert? Be specific.

You learn that from a little birdie, reading tea leaves, visiting a
fortune teller or just made it up?

Again you seem to rely on your crystal ball. The truth is you have no
idea how many people have problems with Vista. Neither do I. A good
indicator there are problems is Microsoft is getting ready to release
SP1 which wouldn't be necessary if there were "no problems". Besides,
all the hype over how great XP is, MS is getting SP3 ready for that
OS.

You want a challenge? Tell me how to the fix the calculating time
remaining problem that causes exceedingly slow file transfers, but
ONLY when using Windows Explorer in Vista and not other shells that
still has untold tens of thousands of people suffering even after
installing Microsoft's hotfix that was suppose to cure this problem.

The truth is I wouldn't give you a dime for all the clowns that waltz
into this newsgroup that claim they're expert. Take Frankie numbnuts.
He made himself an engineer and claims he "builds" hardware because he
replaced one capacitor on one circuit board. What a hoot!

Why he's running Vista, of course. It's easy to check!
