The Software, Optional Link does not work?

After installing the latest High Priority updates yesterday and then
rebooting, I went back into the Windows Update Page to see if I wanted to
install any of the 6 Software, Optional updates available, and clicked on
that link on the left hand side. However, what appears is the Custom or
Express buttons again on the right hand side which show that there are no
high priority updates left, no Hardware, Optional updates and 6 Software,
Optional updates available. I then went to the properties box in Internet
Options and deleted the cache, cookies, history, etc., rebooted but the
Custom and Express buttons come up all the time when I click the link to the
6 Software updates. Sometimes the Windows Update page locks up and the task
manager is the only way I can get out of IE 7!

Anyone know how I can get the Update page to work again?

Thanks,

MS

You've got BitComet installed on your PC haven't you? ;-)

I found a fix for this problem 2 weeks ago. Please see the following post...

Thanks GaryM. You really did a lot of work on this, haven't you! Did you
