Software re-installs when launched in Vista

I have a new Vista box - Velocity Micro - and some software acts as if it is
reinstalling each time I launch it. MS Office 07, Corel Draw 11, Acrobat 7
all display a configuration dialog box when I launch the application. I've
reinstalled programs several time and no fix. Is there something I'm
overlooking. It takes a minute or so for MS Word to open while I wait for it
to cycle through installation progress displays. Outlook even does the same
thing when I receive an email. Any ideas?
