Yes, that is possible. When Bob posted recently that he needed Microsoft
to fix a problem he had with his wireless card I doubted it, but after several
posts I accepted that Belkin had told him that, and that Microsoft needed to
correct a configuration problem with Windows Media Center Edition 2005.
People having lots of no luck with driver updates from WU has got those
who respond here to advise, "always get drivers from the manufacturers."
Helping you to get a driver from WU goes against that accepted wisdom.
In his response to a different problem, Lawrence Garvin (MVP) said that
0x8024200B is a generic error code and that the log wasn't much help.
Unless Dell tells you that Microsoft must fix the problem, ought you not
get a solution from Dell, as you are attempting?
