The error I was having was 0x800B004. I followed a recommended procedure to
right it (
http://www.updatexp.com/0x800B0004.html) and the problem
persisted. I then uninstalled Microsoft's AntiSpyware beta1 and did the
procedure once more. That appears to have solved the problem and I was able
to catch up on the last three Critical Updates.
