A solution for the 80070020 error for the updates KB905866 & KB931

I have been trying for 2 days to install the 905866 and the 931174 updates
with no luck. I looked on here and combined a few threads to make it work.
Download and save your updates from the Microsoft Update page. Here is the
link for the 905866... http://support.microsoft.com/kb/905866 .... and then
the 931174 is http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=931174

First shut down all antivirus programs. Go to start.. then run... then
msconfig

Click on Selective Startup... then go to the services tab and uncheck all
that apply to your antivirus program and your BITS (Background Intelligent
Transfer Service)... then go to the startup tab and do the same.... I am not
sure if the BITS is needed to be unchecked or not, but I unchecked it.

Then click OK and your computer needs to be restarted. Then go to where you
saved he files and run them and they should work.

As I said I was trying to do this for 2 days and it finally worked. At
first it kept saying failed everytime I tried to run the from the Microsoft
Update link and they didn't work. I hope this helps!
