~ I Found A Solution
when you go to Windows updates @
( http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp
Just add the letter: s after http so that would become
( https://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp
then click on Go, That will take you to nonsecure/no certificate pag
accept terms and conditions, Now it will scan for Updates.
(Do Not Get Any Update/ Do Not Download nor Install Any Update Now
(Close the Page = Then Restart Windows Updates
Now It Will Work and You can Do Updates - download and install successfull

I've been reading the post about this and I am really confused. My system is up-to-date and don't need any updates but I was just checking. Last time I installed any updates everything worked fine. No problems with SSL or anyhting else for that matter. Only today when I went to scan for updates did I get the Time & Date Error message. It's true the HTTPS solution does work. But Microsofts site has been really buggy for like the past 2 weeks. I really think it's the site and not our computers or maybe its the Hotfixes. I really couldn't say. I do think Microsoft should DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT THOUGH.

All this talk about being proactive and protcecting your computer and you can't even get access to their update site. WTF???

If it was at Microsoft's end everyone would be having the issue.
As it is a lot are, but a lot work just fine.
No confirmation yet, but the last time there was a similar issue, it
was related to a caching issue at the local ISPs.
If that is the case, it will be resolved when your ISP flushes their
cache.
