Solution for your Windows Updates problem!!

had a problem with the dialogue box for Updates hanging once I'd clicked the
install button. I tried some suggestions from the Microsoft site and
dicovered a registry error with msscript.ocx. After hunting around the
internet I discovered that this file is used by a programme called Windows
Script Control, whereuopn another Google search revealed that it can be
downloaded at
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...ist/webdev.asp
Once dowloaded and installed I returned to try the Update again and all was
well this time. Brill ,Fantatstic!! Wow! There are downloads on the site for
all Windows versions. So if you're having trouble with updates then give this
a go and see if it helps. Good Luck!

Well, thanks, but it didn't help in my case, to the contrary: now the
Windows Update page remains blank.
My Windows XP seems to be in a rather poor condition after a recent
reinstall; it didn't get through the Microsft validation because of missing
ActiveX controls, on the other hand aside from this update obstruction the
system is running well.
