Hi,
I think I'm having the same problem! 2 days ago, I signed into windows live
messenger (version 8.5) only to discover that more than half of my contacts
were removed from my contact list. I had changed nothing on my computer from
the previous day, I should note.
All of the contacts were all put into the "Non-instant messaging contacts"
group. When I tried to put them back into my normal list of messenger
contacts, nothing would happen. Also, my friends in the "non-instant
messaging contacts" list can still see if I am online and I can still
exchange messages with them (once they have messaged me first), but I can't
add them back as friends on my normal contact list.
I tried reinstalling live messenger and doing the registry update but
neither of those things worked.
If anyone has any help they can offer here I would really appreciate it!!!
Thanks,
Mike
