Some features i would like to see

1) Fixed options ( eg, Sometimes the icons go away like Dynamic dp and space
options should be fixed and not disappearing )

2) Larger dp box

3) Custom sound for contacts coming online

4) Diffrent font selecting option in nicknames

5) Custom Status

6) Diffrent Font Colour in nicknames

7) More Sleek look

8)Ability for contact to listen to music on others computer

9) Video clips in display pics box

10) Easier way to share using Sharing folders

11) New emotions

12) New winks

I think that would be to comfusing. Imagine every contact in other colors
and fonts...no thnaks.

Use the activity "Music Mix"...or what do you mean?

Not every contact has a fast internet connection...

Well if the web service were more reliable then this wouldn't happen. The dynamic nature of
Messenger being able to configure itself is pretty neat though.

What's "large"? I think the current size is sufficient. Hard to draw the line really.

Messenger Plus can give you this functionality today (www.msgpluslive.net). Specific
per-contact status and other functionality has been the list for a long, long, time.

I do hope you mean Vista glass -- otherwise this is a bit subjective

This has been tried for years

Technically speaking, I don't see why this wouldn't be possible with the Dynamic DPs since
they're just flash, but I assume you mean "custom" video I'm not really sure what the value
of that would be. Plus, just start a webcam session (which can technically push a video to),
as it shows up in the same area.

The content providers make new ones all the time I assume you mean the built-in ones...
apparently there was one planned for 8.1 but it got cut (besides the "i'm" one).

1st of all I don’t know if im posting to one person or the thread (i hope the
thread), but what I would like to see the most would be:
- tabbed conversations on messenger e.g. in the main messenger window allow
users to have easier and less crowding access to their IM's.

— Larger Display Picture capabilities
— BRAND NEW interface something I was happy to see when messenger (WLM) 8.0
came out
— More varied colours and skinning capabilities e.g lighter and darker
toning as well as being able to view your windows as past messengers, but
with all the features of the present.
— Also when restored (like WMP) the windows are a bit different in shape or
design.
— Ability to communicate with Google talk and other new instant messaging
contacts/App's
— Mail can view in Messenger windows and be accessed by the tabs on the left
hand side where the live search and your other chosen tabs are (the tabs are
the ones next to your contacts are you’ll see them).
— Avatar creation for you DP
— More font abilities and live preview as seen in Office '07
— A support and report feature
— Specific hardware info. Place in options so you can place the processor,
ram, graphics and other hardware features so messenger know how to ruin best
to suit you PC.
— A new icon set to suit vista
— A steadier hand writing feature
— Different sounds for Grouped contacts and limited amount for different ppl
as well as being able to do your on in WMA and MP3 format
— Also DP’s next to the contacts name with a red(offline) green(online) and
Orange (ant talk right now) outline to represent the status on the contacts.

Sorry guys That’s all I got for now but will try add later, also to
Microsoft get rid of MSN only use it as channel nine stuff don’t mix it in
with Microsoft anymore (Australia only).

having a new mobile edition cause so far iv only seen i version bit like 3.0
Msn messenger X windows messenger and no Icons or double message aswell as
slow update contacts.
