I am using Vista Home Premium. The webcam didn't work since start using
Vista. Thru windows update, "thank god" on 10/17/2008 comes the driver for
the cam. However, until today, I still can't get this installed, verytime is
failed (code:80070103). So I tried to manually install the driver, but can't
even find it on microsoft.com!!!! Sony's site has the its most "up-to-date"
driver dated back on 2003!!! Contacted Sony, and here's the reply:
"......Based on the information available online your Camera PCGA-UVC10 is
not compatible with the Windows Vista Operating System. If you install any
other Operating System in your system, you will need to contact the
manufacturer of that Operating System for any and all support issues or
device drivers and software utilities they may have available......"
i've tried to 1) installed updates with the sony drivers in the system 2)
installed it after i uninstalled/cleaned all old sony drivers 3) installed it
with the usb unplugged (that gets another error code which ask me to plug the
usb when updating it).....ALL FAILURED!!! SO IS THERE THE DRIVER ITSELF FOR
DOWNLOAD FROM MICROSOFT? IF IT COMES WITH WINDOWS UPDATE, WHY IT CAN'T BE
FOUND ON MS SITE? PLEASE SOMEONE THERE HELP!!!
