sound cards

I have just lost my sound and my PC says there is no sound card what do I
need to do?

On the assumption you haven't used winupdate for any drivers try;
System/hardware devices....locate your sound device, it probably has a
yellow exclamation mark, remove the device and reboot

what I noticed with my system after installing Vista, is that my sound was
only working thru the headphones~ so easily changing the main controls for
sounds to the external sound system fixed it quickly ~ maybe yours is making
your mic or headphones primary too???

Isnt vista delicious to look @ though it's not sync friendly yet, I'm sure
enjoying the eye candy!
