Does anybody know of a good sound editor that works with Vista?
I like to cut/copy/paste parts of sound files.

TIA

The Standard Windows Vista Sound Recorder (.wma files) works well for what
your intentions describe...

Although, I prefer the Windows XP Sound Recorder (.wav files) ... I copied
Windows XP Sound Recorder to my Windows Vista system, Renamed it, and use it
frequently with Windows Vista for the same purposes you described...

Enjoy!

Joseph,

Thanks for the reply. I have Roxio Easy Media Creator on my XP drive, it
works fine for what I want to do.
I was looking for something similar, yet simpler for Vista.

SeaJay,

I tried your idea. Got the XP sound recorder to work in XP, but I want to be
able to see the oscillations, so I can make precise edits. My therapist says
I am making progress with my compulsive neurotic compulsions ;-)

Thanks Dave -

I couldn't get to their site either.

I did find this though:

http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/

It does exactly what I want - so far
;-)
