Hi

I have Vista home premium. had problems with soundcard but now fixed - when
i plug in headphones it recognises they are there but nothing plays back
through them.

any ideas

Hi,

Right-click the sound button at the lower right of your screen. Click on
Playback devices and check if your headset is there and working.

Hope it helps.

If the headset is not shown, he should also right click on the Playback Devices
window and check Show Hidden Devices and check Show Disabled Devices

I have done this

device is shown as listed but not plugged in. when i plug it in it says it
conncted but still no sound comes through headphones
