Hi Chyann,
A) Reboot - sometimes this is all that is needed.
B) System Restore. If there was some corruption of the system that caused
the issue, this should resolve it.
C) Reinstall sound card drivers, or update them to the most recent ones. The
files may have been corrupted or altered.
D) Under services, check both Windows Audio and Windows Audio Endpoint for
dependencies that need to be running as well. To check dependencies, double
click on the service and check the appropriate tab. It may also help to
change the first failure action on the Recovery tab to restart the service.
