If you are talking about the Windows volume control in the system tray
(bottom right corner), that normally controls the output volume, your
message indicates an issue with the input volume (or some other
Audacity-related problem).
This is a Media Center forum, your question doesn't really have to do with
that topic, you probably would get more/better help at an Audacity forum or
support site. It would help when you repost, to give some more details, like
the OS you are using and a few more details -- for instance, when you
mentioned you could play MP3 and videos, did you mean in the Audacity S/W or
in some other windows program?
