Sound not working

Every time i install the latest update for windows vista i have a sound
problem. My computer runs better but none of my online games that i like to
play don't work.
I use a usb headset for my games( like call of duty uo and call of duty 4
) and when i connect to them i have no sound ?? I also talk on teamspeak and
have a hard time getting it to work! I have tried to go back through and
check my drivers and headset and it says its working properly. the only way i
can get it to work again is to uninstall the update !
I do wish i can use the update cause it changes my ram from 3.50 to 4.0
that i have .

Can someone please help me ???

What "latest update(s)" have you installed? Does uninstalling them resolve
the behavior?
