Here is the page for your User's manual and latest driver downloads.
http://support.asus.com/download/dow...Language=en-us
I noticed that the User's manual mentions a "Support DVD" for installing the
drivers.
If you have used this DVD to install the drivers and you still have no sound
then
use Windows 'Device Manager' (Start/Run enter: devmgmt.msc) to
remove the existing Sound Driver. Reboot the PC and let Windows discover
a "New Device" and use that to install the driver.
If the above does not work then download the Sound Driver from the link
I included at the top of this post. The driver file is a .ZIP file so
extract to
a temporary folder/directory. Do not run setup at this time.
Once again using Device Manager to remove any remnants of the last
failed attempt to install the sound driver.
Now run the appropriate setup file
(Note: there appears to multiple setups based on the OS you are using)
Reboot and let Windows once again detect the sound chip and
install the drivers from the default location.
Let me know if this works or not.
