sound utility problem

hi, i have a labtop toshiba tecra a8, it was having os windows xp sp2, i've
upgrade it to vista ultimate, everything is ok i've install all the drivers &
its all working normally & in a good edition, but there is a problem in the
sound utility which i can't see the volume increasing or decreasing in the
windows xp before it was showing me when i decrease or increase the volume
the volume utility but now in the vista nothing show only on the right task
bar i need it cause its really confusing me without it, please if u have any
solution for me telll me to solve it
remark: i've also check all the drivers of sound utility in the toshiba
website but nothing solve it.

Rightclick the Start orb, then Properties, "Notification" tab, put a check
in "Volume" checkbox

Mark thx for helping me but i have the volume on my taskbar, but the problem
is not here the problem is that i don't have the notification when i raise
the volume or decreasing this is the problem
