SoundMax or Analogue devices 198x audio driver

I find out from the web that I can install the driver using the hardware
installation wizard and clicking on the inf file. But my problem is that in
the hardware wizard, there is no device list at all to select. How do I get
back the device list so I can install the soundmax driver. There must be some
corruption somewhere. Please help.

Zactly the same problem i'm having. I been looking for a fix for 2 days

What I did was went to device manager found the souund card uninstalled it
rebooted and windows found it. If that did not do it goto Dell or where you
got your computer and download the lateest driver run it and do every thing
all over I had to do it 3 times and now it works
