SoundMax Integrated Digital Audio

I am having a great deal of difficulty installing the soundmax drivers on
windows vista beta 2. Everytime I try windows update, I always get some error
message and every time I try to use Windows Help to troubleshoot the problem
nothing happens, the computer just slows down. Can anyone help me solve this
frustrating problem?

or in the alternative try going to the manufacturers site and downloading
the drivers for the soundmax there.

i have had exactly the same prob, running on an ASUS mobo with built in
soundmax digital card, and the WU driver doesnt work, nor any XP ones.
Installing the WU driver just says it found the driver but thier was errors,
even after disabling driver signing.
