A VERY nasty bug?
When dragging files from my network harddrive to the Vista DVD burner
(included in filemanager), two things happends.
1. Vista creates the directories but states that the source file(s) can not
be found.
2. The source files are DELETED from the network HDD!!

Copying the files tho the local disk and do the same as above works fine.

The source files are gone without no trace. (for other connected computers
as well)

Equipment:
NETHDD, Argosy 363N /300Gb Samsung.
PC Dell XPS M1710 / Sony DVD DWQ58A
All systems above has the latest patch level / firmware.

Sorry, I'm not seeing the same thing here and I create DVDs from network
files all the time. I would recommend copying the files locally, burning
the CD, then deleting the files.

I just received a message from Argosy informing me that their disk are not
compatible with Vista(!) I would be very careful backing up files directly
from the NETHDD to the DVD.

Well, that would certainly explain that; if you're using a third-party
burning software that isn't Vista compatible odd things are likely to
happen.

No, Argosy is the manufacturer of the HDD Cabinet. I use Vista standard
procedure to burn the files.
For others using Argosy 363N. There are no plans for updating the firmware
to support Vista. In early in September Argosy will release a new product
called HD354N which is compatible with Windows Vista.
