Hi - I tried to install SP 1 yesterday but after it installed I was unable to
connect to the internet. I think that the error was something about a
Network Adapter or NVIDA nForce Networking Controller and the ethernet not
having what it needs. Also, the icon with the two monitors near the clock on
the task bar had a red x through it. I wasn't even connected to the local
network that is always on when I'm on the computer. I talked to my computer
manufacturer and they had me try to uninstall the Networking Controller but
it wouldn't uninstall, even in safe mode. They then had me try to roll back
the driver for this but that wouldn't work. They then told me to uninstall
SP 1, go online and download the origional NVIDA Local Area Network driver
and then reinstall SP 1 and install this driver if I had problems. I tried
that but it didn't work either. Anyone have any ideas on how I can install
SP 1 and still get online? Thanks!

Wouldn't hurt to try the setting that worked for me. In the Properties of
the NIC, I set the speed to 10 mbps half duplex, instead of
'auto-negotiation'. This worked, and I moved the setting up until it failed
again, to find my max speed.
