You are prompted to activate Windows Vista after you install Windows Vista Service Pack 1
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947519/en-us

You can reset your Windows Vista activation by performing the following:

1. Click on the Start button and in the Start Search box type in: slui.exe 4

2. Press the Enter key on your keyboard.

3. Select your Country.

4. Follow the instructions for phone activation (no charge).

5. Once completed, restart your computer.

If you plan on continuing to use Vista, get used to it. Note that the
icon doesn't say My Computer but Computer. This is because you don't own
it anymore, you use it at the pleasure of Microsoft.

Tired of this intrusive and insulting crap? Check out Ubuntu, a modern
operating system that's Open Source and completely FREE. It comes with
access to over 25,000 FREE programs and you'll never, ever, be
questioned as to whether Ubuntu is "genuine" or not. Get at
http://www.ubuntu.com/

Tell him so. If enough people tell this loser that he is a piece of crap
troll, maybe, just maybe he might get the message. Probably not because he
isn't that smart.

You know Alias, at this rate you are going to give Ubuntu a bad name.
Your constant reminders are a bit like the annoying 'nag screens' that
appear every time you use freeware - which tries to sell you the 'Pro
version'. Give it a rest.

If we tell you and Frank that we are tired of your insulting and intrusive
crap and that you are a piece of crap troll, will you get the message?
No?
Well then why would you expect Alias to be any different?
