AFter installing SP 2 hera are some of the problems I encountered:

Cannot get to Control Panel, My Computer or Networks.
E-mail program Incredimail runs in task tray but cannot open full window
DVD not recognized in File Explorer
AOL IM doesn't open either.

I have to login to safe mode as Administrator to remove the update and
return things to normal. I've gone into the Firewall portion and "added" the
e-mail and IM thinking this would allow them to function normally, but it
didn't.

what procedure did you do before installing SP2? Did you follow the
preparation procedure before doing this?

I can't answer the other problems but Incredimail should have no problems as
long as you are upgraded to the latest version 1710

I ran SpyBot Search and Destroy and Norton Virus Scan. Both came up "clean".
I could understand the E-mail and IM problems, but not being able to get
into Control Panel, My Computer and a missing DVD-ROM? That whats really got
me puzzled.

Peter,
Thanks. I'll check on that.
