SP-2 Alternate download locations

Whats the difference between getting SP-2 from windows update and getting it
from a different website like C-net?

Microsoft is the ONLY legitimate source for SP-2.
There are no other locations and others may have been deliberately
corrupted by the unauthorized posters.

However there are other locations that redirect to Microsoft and that
is OK since the update comes directly from Microsoft.
If C-net redirects, there is no difference since you are at Microsoft,
just you get their indirectly.
