Windows XP Professional installed on aa 800 Mzh Dell after formating hard
drive. We have Windows update set to automatic Windows XP Build 2600 SP2
intalled
Since the install we have received the following error on Boot. It also
occurs in safe mode

Explorer:EXE Entry Port not found
The procedure entry port SHCreate
Thread rference could not be located
in the dynamic link library SHLWAPI.dll

After you click on OK the screen sits with no access to tool bars or windows
functions.

Thanks

Yes, I had exactly the same problem after doing the latest windows update. I
have indeed lost valuable data even though I regularly back it up. I hope
microsoft can assist us with this problem as it has been of great
inconvinience to me and other people I know. Sort it out microsoft. If SP2 is
really this much of a problem Microsoft shouldn't have released it.

Hi

A possible solution here:

The procedure entry point SHCreateThreadRef could not be located...
