SP 2 I have a firewall will not stay checked

I upgraded to SP2. I found the check box that says that "I have a firewall
etc." in the Security Center so the pop up will not bug me all the time. My
problem is that every time I reboot it becomes unchecked and I have to
recheck it.

What a pain. Is there a way to permanently leave this checked?

Have you tried this one:

Control Panel/Security Center, click on the "Change the Way
Security Center Notifies Me" link in the left pane.

If the "Change the Way Security Center Notifies Me" doesn't stick
when you reboot, or you want to disable the Security Center totally,
you can do the following:

Start/Run --> services.msc

Find "Security Center" in the list, double click on it, set
"Startup type" to Disabled.
