SP 2 Update error codes

I too am getting a variety of codes each time I attempt to install the SP 2
update from
http://update.microsoft.com/windowsu....aspx?ln=en-us using the
EXPESS option.

The error codes I have gotten (on separate install attempts) are:
0x80070017
0x800703E7

I am assuming that somebody at Microsoft is monitoring this bulletin board.
Since there are many post regarding this topic, perhaps an expert from
Microsoft could give a definitive answer and make our collective lives easier?

Many possibilities:
Firewall settings, Virus, Spyware, Pop up blockers, Temporary Internet
Files, Cookies, Spyware.
Corrupt download, Memory issues.

Otherwise do not use Express Installation, use Network Installation instead.
