SP 2 update history

I have my computer up to date with all the updates but when I see the history
of updates they appear like cancelled , and when I see the add or remove
programs for updates installed in my computer they are there installed
What I need to do for the updates to be seen in my update history?
Any help for this topic please?

The history as well as Add/Remove Programs both have their design
limitations and neither are intended to tell all about the installed
updates.

The history lists updates installed, attempted etc by Windows Update.
If an update is downloaded manually and then installed, the history will not
show it since Windows Update was not used.

Add Remove Programs lists updates that can be uninstalled.
Some updates can not be uninstalled and so will not be displayed in
Add/Remove Programs.

If an update shows as cancelled, look for a later successful installation or
go to the website of the specific update.
There you will find a list of updated files you can compare to see if the
update is installed.

If the updates were installed successfully from the Windows Update site
then they will be noted as successful/failed/cancelled on the history page.
Automatic Updates or updates installed manually will not be listed but
will appear in Add/Remove Programs.
Are you stating that the updates were done from Windows Update, show as
cancelled on the History page, but do show as installed in ARP ?

The important part is that the updates are installed. Since you
downloaded and installed them manually, presumably from the Windows
Update Catalog since you didn't state that was how they were done,
they will not be listed on the update history page.
To confirm that they are installed you can cross check the files of the
updates against the ones on the system and cross check the registry.
Let me know if you need guidance confirming either the files being
correct or the registry entries.
