SP1: What to do?

My father, who has Vista Home Premium, received his update last weekend
through Windows Update. I have Vista Ultimate, but haven't seen SP1 at all
through Windows Update. After doing some research, I noticed that SP1 has
some issues with Sigma Tel drivers, which I currently have installed. My
question is this...shall I download the update from the Microsoft website, or
wait until I get it in Windows Update? Thanks in advance.

Windows Vista Service Pack 1 is not available for installation from Windows Update and is
not offered by Automatic Updates:

See if there is an update to your Sigma and then see if SP1 is offered.

Best to wait until you get SP1 via Windows Update.
