SP1 Install Jitters

I have been hesitant to install SP1 since reading all the negative
tales of woe on the NG. I am fairly computer wise and have been
working with them since the early 80's.

Well, this morning I talked to a friend of mine who has the computer
savvy of a stone and he told me he just went ahead and hit the
'update' button. He sat there and watched it do its thing and after
about an hour 45 min, it was complete and working just fine.

Well, I sez to myself, if he can do it, so can I so I walked out to my
Motorhome (that's where the Vista box is) and told it to update. One
hour, 45 min. later is has installed perfectly and I are one happy
camper.

Thanks to all in the group for proving info (except the obvious idiots
that seem to have to bad mouth MS. Personally, I think they are
universally crazy!

Glad you had a good experience. I've been using SP1 since beta, an
have had no trouble with it.

If anyone reading this finds that they are having any trouble with SP1
you can get free tech support directly from Microsoft. Here's the link
