SP1 for Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1

Error Code: 0x643
Try to install the update again, or request help from one of the following
resources.

I have read through the posts and some have talked about deleting a certain
hotfix, which I dont have, so I cant try that one.

Another talks about making sure that .NET is at a certain security level, I
did that.

Still not working though, need some help please

That solution assumes that I have 1.1 installed which I dont. I follow the
instructions and 1.1 is not there, only 1.0.

Anything else???

What "solution"? You are posting out of context. Please quote what you are
referring to.

If you do not have .NET Framework 1.1 installed, why are you attempting to
install .Net Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1?

Hotfix 1.1 (KB886904), and then click Remove.

Neither of these files show up on my installed programs and updates list

Locate and then click the following subkey in the registry:

when I do this, I do not see 1.1, I see this:

..netframework folder
1.0 folder
KB887998 folder

If present, these hotfixes are listed under "Microsoft .NET Framework", not
as updates to Windows.

If that is not the issue, I suggest that you try uninstalling "Microsoft
..NET Framework 1.1" from Add/Remove Programs, then re-installing it from a
Custom search at Windows Update. You will need to stop any programs running
that rely on .NET if you have any.
