You are taking the right course. If the Thinkpad R61 is no longer Vista
ready, the more people who know that the better. After some reasonable time,
they will have to offer some refund or other compensation for current users.
That said, I think sanity will prevail, and IBM will get busy solving the
issue pretty soon. The Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) has Not changed.
They will find a nondestructive way to interface with it pretty quick. It's
likely YOU will be the first to know : )
