SP1 for Vista!!

According to a Digg article (e.g., I have no proof either way), Vista SP1,
due out in November, should be out within 2 weeks, supposedly.

Anyone have any REAL info on this rumour?

False. The rumour mill suggests they'll have a beta built available in a
couple of weeks.

The only thing official was a slide from several months ago, showing SP1
going out in the same quarter as Server 2008, the end of the year.

Best rumor I heard is Vista SP-1 will be released coinciding with the
release of Windows Server 2008 later this year or early next year.
Based on that, the Beta must begin soon assuming it already hasn't.

Everything on the subject is rumors until something official comes
directly from Microsoft.
Look at all other sites accordingly.
Many 3rd party sites thrive on being first with this type of
information and are regularly wrong.
They boast when they are correct and depend on people forgetting when
they are wrong.
Some seem better than others, read accordingly.

Count on sp1 being out sometime in 2009 !!!...That way if it arrives before
that you are ahead of the game....Not having any but minor glitches so when
it comes out it does and will not even think about it until then...Just my 3
