Hi,

I lately tried to update my XP Pro to SP2. After update my PC refused to
boot normally.
From F8 boot menu, all options give the same result . Approx 5 seconds after
the first win xp logo screen computer restarts. There is no working last
known ..., safe or debugging.
Before restart there is very short error message, which I could to catch
with help of photo camera only.

STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Session Manager Initialization system process terminated unexpectedly
with a status of 0x000026c (0x00000000 0x00000000).
The system has been shut d

I did a new clean XP Pro install to PC and used new XP Pro CD with SP 2
already. Everything worked fine until I installed Kaspersky Antivirus latest
workstation version. Now I'm again where I started.
Likely the reason is KAV 5.0 but it worked with XP without SP2, but I'm not
able to uninstall KAV anymore.
Reinstalling everything takes 2 days again ...

Any ideas?
.... how to boot and reapair my PC?

Peter

Hi,

Try disabling the scan at the operating system startup Kaspersky Anti-Virus
5.0 Personal by default scans startup objects/files for malicious code. If
you by some reason want to disable the function (for advanced users only),
do the following:

a.. Go to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 Persona l > Settings > Configure
On-Demand Scan > On-Demand Scan settings

a.. In the On-Demand Scan settings check Do not scan dick boot sectors, Do
not scan system memory, Do not scan startup objects

a.. Close each window by pressing OK

a.. Minimize the Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 Personal main window After it the
antivirus pack will not scan startup objects/files when you boot your pc.

Thank you

Eric
