sp2 and 1e6

I get a message every day that I have updates. These are for sp2, if i accept
them, I go through the "I accept etc" I am told that My upgrades are
succsessful. every day. My pc tells me If I ask, I still have sp1.
I also have no virus protection as my ie6 will not accept activeX controls.
I have gone through the cookie delete and set all that I am asked to by
mcaffie to no avail.
I have found that there are 2 files missing "iecont.dll and iecontlc.dll"
from ie6 HELP!
