SP2 and Earthlink net

Installed SP2 and everything worked fine, until I tried to go on the
Internet, using Earthlink.net as my ISP. Able to get on Earthlink, but
none of the four browsers I keep around (Earthlink Total Access, IE6,
Mozilla 1.7, or Netscape 7.1) could access Earthlink, either for
browsing or email. I finally contacted Earthlink, and they said they had
been notified of similar failures from clients who installed SP2, did
not know of any workaround, and suggested uninstalling SP2 until a
solution was known. I did the uninstall, and the internet is now accessible.
Anyone know of a workaround?

Dialup or DSL? I have Earthlink DSL and have had no problems with
connecting after SP2 .

Open the connection, select TCP/IP properties, Advanced button, Options
tab, TCP/IP filters properties, check the box Enable filtering, and
Permit All of the three ports/protocols. I've found this set
incorrectly on three SP2 installs so far that prevented any connection
although Ipconfig shows everything normal.
