SP2 and netsetup.cpl problem

Hi,
I have installed SP2 onto my machine.
Now when I launch the Control Panel for the first time, after I started
the PC, everything is fine but when I launch it a second time I get this
message: "An error occurred while Windows was working with the control
panel file C:\windows\system32\netsetup.cpl"

Does anyone know what could be going on?

I have the same problem, tried just about everything, everything else works
great but I don't run a network so I am wondering if that is the
problem......................anyways hopefully someone can lend a hand.

Hey I think I have found a fix read AMD64 Reboot fix
I did what it said at the bottom referring to the netsetup.cpl error
it seems to work but I am not sure of any complications of turning off
IPmon32 at startup?

but hey that pesky error is history and the network setup icon appears in
the control panel

I have the same problem. Also I get an icon showing that one of my network
connecions has no or limited connectivity. That is through my Ethernet card.
Everything worked just fine before SP2. I have no network so before I used
the network setup wizard to fix any problems, but now it doen't seem to work.
I have this icon and it bothers me.
I'd appreciate any help.

Hi jdemillo, I have the same problem. I'm still trying to get it fixed. If I
figure it out I'll let you know. If you get it first, let me know.
