SP2 and Norton Antivirus

After installing Service Pack 2, I had to uninstall and reinstall my Norton
Antivirus 2002 professional software. However, now when I try to run Live
Update on Norton Antivirus, I get an error message that says, "Live Update
could not access a file. Live Update could not open or write a file it
needed to make sure you have some disk space and memory unused". Any
suggestions would be appreciated.

Uninstall Norton again.
Be sure all is gone by using this tool AFTER uninstall is complete:

Reboot
Reinstall Norton AV.
