SP2 and PowerDVD4

I installed SP2 a few days ago and didn't have any problem. Today I tried to
open PowerDVDxp version4.0.1015 and I got the message that Windows
encountered a problem and has to close. Since the only thing I downloaded
was SP2 it seems that PowerDVD4 clashes with SP2. I even can't update
PowerDVD4 with patch 2417, during the installation of the patch I get the
same a.m. message.
Does anybody have the same problem?
