SP2 & v5.WindowsUpdate, cleanup leftovers

Now that I have installed Win XP SP2 (standalone network version), and
switched to v5.WindowsUpdate
I am interested in cleaning up unnecessary leftovers, thus my question:

Is it OK to delete the folder below, since (as I understand it) it was used
by v4.WindowsUpdate, but is not used by v5.WindowsUpdate

c:\program files\WindowsUpdate

Thank you,
Lilla

So far, I have performed these cleanups...

1) Ran DougKnox "Remove Hotfix Backup" for XP Utility.

2) Delete SP2 backup folder, and removed entry in Add/Remove Programs List.
I followed the step given in this newsgroup.

3) v4.windowsupdate leftover. Remove it by following these steps
Navigate to c:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files
Look for {9F1C11AA-...}, mine said status = Damaged
If found (even if not damaged), r-click {9F1C11AA-...} and choose Remove.

4) Microsoft Security Update CD (pub Feb 2004) leftover.
Remove it by following these steps
Navigate to c:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files
Look for PatchInstaller.Installer
If found, r-click "PatchInstaller.Installer" and choose remove.

Hi Lila,

V5 does not use the folder c:\program files\WindowsUpdate, you can delete
this folder, but it is recommended to save it to a safe location in the
event you need it in the future.

That reads like the most indifferent Answer.
better reading would be: in case you decide to revert to SP1 its
recommended to have it on a safe medium ( like CD)?

greets
Mike
