sp2 and xp PRO startup window

I just installed sp2 and now it seems I no longer have XP PROFESSIONAL, at
least that's what my startup screen seems to indicate . . . ! Now it just
says Windows xp. I want my PRO back!!! Help?

This is not a bug, the change is deliberate.

With 4 versions of XP now (Home, Pro, Media Edition, Tablet PC) I
guess they just got tired of having to handle the different startup
screens each time they needed to compile/link a new build of the
OS/Service pack. It takes one more thing out of the test matrix for
all the various builds, since it is now consistent across all
derivatives of Windows XP.

Keeping it simple is a way to save time and money.

Well, then you will need to uninstall SP2...
