SP2 Auto Update Message, then No Download??

Very odd, 2 days ago I received the Auto Update message that SP2 was
available, and did I want to download it. I clicked yes to start the d/l,
but nothing happened. Haven't seen it reappear, again, and it looks like I
cannot d/l it, except via Auto Updates. Any ideas what might have happened
and if I will get a second chance to d/l and install it??
Thanks,
Patty S.

Microsoft is limiting the daily number of SP-2 downloads. You may get SP-2 soon
or you can wait days. For more information, see FAQ #7:

You have to remember the Microsoft has limitations too...they have many
millions of people to download to...if you leave yer updates on automatic you
will receive them sooner or later....It took me 6 days to wait and I am on
cable...automatic is the only way to get it all./..

Thank you for the information and the link. Do you happen to know what the
maximum wait time may end up being. I have a new XP SP1 installation and want
to have SP2 installed and stable before I install all my other drivers,
programs, etc. Thank you for your assistance! John

It is unclear to me what benefit is derived from being directed to a webpage
whose message is to check back later. What would seem helpful would be to
either 1) allow sign up for automatic distribution of the CD when it becomes
available, or 2) publish the date when the website will start taking orders
for the CD.

Thank you and regards.

Unfortunately MS don't inform me of anything. You have two other options, wait
for the CD or get a friend with a fast connection to download the SP2 Full
version. That's what I did.
