SP2 BETA WILL NOT UNINSTALL

I am trying to uninstall Beta version of SP2, in order to install to final
release of SP2.
I receive an error message of "file not found".
I suspect that a vital file is missing after a system crash.
Doing a system restore does not help.
Is there a way around this problem??

If the above does not work:

Either one of the following utilities makes slipstreaming
(integrating) SP2 into Windows XP a breeze:

Thanks for your reply, I have downloaded WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe

but of course it will not load until SP2 Beta is uninstalled.

Is it possible to load this without having to re install XP Pro

If it was RC1 or RC2 you should be able to load it over the top.

I have RC2 installed, when I attempt to load the final release version, I
get an error message stating that I have to uninstall previous version, I am
looking for a way round this without reloading XP.

I have found the easier solution to this problem.
I have another copy of XP installed on a spare H/D, which was cloned from
first H/D
before SP2 Beta was installed (please don't inform M.S.)
I installed SP2 Beta to second H/D.
I then copied the NT uninstall folder back to first H/D, overwriting the
previous copy.
Booted up the first H/D, then clicked on the spuninst.exe in the NT
uninstall folder and it then proceeded to uninstall..... much to my relief.
Now to install the downloaded final release.
Regards to everyone.
